Did we ever find out any backstory about Nikki and Jinki from TS2?

"Twins from a tiny Oriental village, Nikki and Jinki were sold to the Ringmistress when they were both babes in arms. Strangely, each claims to be the elder sister."

Always thought they were cool.

From what I can tell, that's about as much backstory about Nikki and Jinki as we were given. Since they're more of a background character, I don't think they would really have much of a detailed backstory much like other characters.
