I just finished my (custom version) of Headsprouter
bigfreddy.deviantart.com/art/Headsprouter-493259537Looking pretty good. I am still wondering how the dev's at Free Radical came up with Headsprouter and when I look at this version which has a bit more details, I am starting to think someone must have came up with this in the middle of the night in an abandoned hospital.
Holy balls, that looks like Headsprouter if he were to appear in a fighting game. I love the twisted proportions!

The whole idea is a sewn body used as a sprouter, filled with a flesh-made parasite that grow to the point it sprout out of the head and the arms, destroying the seams that were there. I find it gruesomely good

Hey, that's one theory. I have another which I wrote on the Timesplitters wiki, too if you want to check it out there, on the Headsprouter page.
The Berzerker Splitter was made by Crow, right? And Crow headed the team which made the zombies in the mansion, which have Timesplitterlike ability to resist damage and control energy. The process of a Timesplitter's creation is further seen in the Freak, who flat out is half human half splitter. Now look at Headsprouter. And back at the Berzerker Splitter. And back to Headsprouter.
Notice any similarities? No eyes (however, the Berzerker seems to have artificial eyes on the top of its head), skinless forearms, "teeth bigger than its face", hooked claws, flesh surrounding its head and a collar-like lower neck area.
Look at this image to see old fleshyhead.

And then there's the fact Crow flat out has a lever which drops you into the mine with them. He must be pretty pleased with the result if they're his personal non-believer-eaters. Also his presence in the freak bot set, with his friend the freak, and the fact that they both wound up exploding on death.
And then there's high-pitched, sometimes gurgling, growling guttural sounds. Taken from the Insect Mutant, I know, but it's a similar noise to a Timesplitter. And then there's the fact that Headsprouter has the same ring and syllable count as Timesplitters...but those are some throwaway things I thought about, too. A lot less convincing than the other stuff.
I think this theory is as good as any, because nobody ever references the Headsprouters outside of, well...the line I used for my custom Forum message. There's a lot more similarities between Headsprouters and 'Splitters than there is evidence for the parasite theory. Oh, I just thought of something else. Headsprouter has nails in his elbows, this guy was built!
There's a lot of really fucked up and unexplained shit in the Mansion and below, though, so it could all be just coincidence, I mean, the worms, the beetles, Princess and the ghosts were never explained other than "Something terrible must have happened here!" Inseticks look like Reapers, though, so who knows...
Oh, and I drew this a year or two ago.
