I agree With you here, but I always thought The aliens from 1 should have been killed off or enslaved by the mox as a way of winking at ts1, I like the meezer and ozor and always felt the koozer were annoying.

under rated for me are:
the mox, as well as the aliens

All the splitters, they could have built upon them rather than shorthand them to one class in the third game

The calamari, he is just so fun to play as
