well, at least I appreciated being able to increase life when playing bots on black ops 2. felt much more tolerable than killing and being killed in 2 bullets. of course you don't have the option online outside of custom matches I guess...

Halo 4 also lets you choose the health and speed multiplyer in custom games (though people tend to complain than 150% speed is too much  )

Halo 4 is a terrible terrible game though. It's nothing more than a cashgrab at both the fans who can't see that 343 has completely ruined the franchise, and the CoD audience, but developers and publishers alike never learn that those people will only continually play CoD and CoD alone, and will have no loyalty to their game at all. So in the end, 343 is left with nothing.

I can't say, I played Halo 1, but it was like 10 years ago, so I hardly remember. I also got halo 3 for free on the live, but I've just begun the campaign, so I can't say if halo 4 is actually less good. though, I'll admit, the multiplayer isn't the best I've played, I would say it's decent but not great, though, with the right custom options, it has the potential for being great.

Didn't they remove like 50% of the custom options, ruined CTF, and ruined forge?

Also, it's call of duty. Straight up Call of Duty. There's loadouts and armor abilities and all of that crap. It plays nothing like Halo 3.

hum, I don't know, only played the campaign so far. I thought halo 4 had quite a lot of options (maybe not as much as timesplitters, though...)

from what I heard, the forge is the same than in reach (that I didn't play) but the textures seemed much better in reach, they are quite ugly in halo 4. hell, I even think that the TS mapmakers have better textures...

wouldn't say it's call of duty, there are loadout, but you still have to find the power weapons (I admit, the way they originally put the ordnances on the maps was horrible) and you don't die as quick as in CoD. I'm not fond of the armour ability, I have the feeling they may work better as bonuses you find on the map.

Still, compared to other other Halos, and especially to other shooters, it's not good at all.

Yeah used to be a big Halo guy, Halo 3 MP was the shizzle. Was fun for both "casual" (hate the term" and competitive types.

Halo 4 was hot garbage, and where classic halo is balanced 4 is demonstrably not. And I have little hope for 5, not that I have an Xbox One to play it on.

I enjoy BF purely for the random spectacle which can occur, but it is skilled in the more traditional sense. Teamwork helps but the gunplay falls flat for me mostly.

Never been a big PC purely for money and time reasons although I have enjoyed CS when I dabbled in it.
Still can't find my winkles

Just stick to older shooting games, I haven't touched a modern competitive (non-remake) MP shooter in well over a year. There's Tungle & XLink if the real servers for your favourite game are down.
Come to www.encyde.se if you want to play Timesplitters on Original Xbox over XLink Kai.

Old games are dying and there's not large enough communities for them. We can't let the state of video games go down the toilet without at least complaining about it.
