I've been meaning to play Outlast for a looong time...
I've been able to play Amnesia 1 and 2 (although 2 never had me even feeling slightly nervous, because it was not a good sequel) in the dark without much problems, as well as the Five Nights demo (I decided to save my money, that game seems overrated), but yeah...I may be late to the party, but Outlast is some territory I have as of yet left unexplored...
Scariest experience ever in a game, though: Amnesia DLC: Justine. Dear god did it bring what I wanted out of Amnesia, which was to put me in my worst element: pressure. Also dat Suitor chase music. *shudder*
Wasn't the Mansion of Madness level in TS3 surprisingly scary? I mean it was probably mostly the music, but the paintings, the gory visuals and ARTHUR ACHING JUMPING OUT OF THAT DAMN CLOSET...pretty good horror level.
Started the Outlast install. Tonight, maybe.
I'm not kidding here, I've never been scared of a game before. I've been used to playing 'scary' games since I was about 2 or 3 years old. We're talking about a two year old kid completing Resident Evil 1 all by himself whilst his much older brothers are terrified of the game. Nothing fazes me when it comes to video games. You've got to split the boundary between gaming and reality. I'm surprised people think that Five Nights At Freddy's is scary. The game looks like it was built in 5 minutes. If there really has been a game that has ALMOST scared me then it would be the P.T demo. But like I said nothing fazes me.
