Do you use a generic character rig for models that have equal size? What are your tools of trade - 3ds max, maya, etc?

Ach und moin ;-)

Gude :P,

For animations and rigging we use maya, i have written my own tools to generate rigs based on different properties, can't go much into details yet, expect some future behind the scenes and updates about this stuff.

I personally started with max but switched over to maya, because i didn't like the workflow in max for rigging and animation, everything is much faster and cleaner in maya, also once you extend it with your own toolset its really powerful

I see. Not my cup of tea, though. I've only ever animated weapons in Max so my animation experience is quite limited in that regard. I'm more of a map maker and know the basics of 3d modeling and photoshop, hehe.

Great to see more developers introduce themselves on the forums.

PS: Schön fleißig sein xD

Ohai guys!

Literally just joined, because why not?

I remember the days of old playing TimeSplitters on the Xbox with some friends, hopefully that will be possible again!

And Lord_Chanticleer from the Avian Division from said site is bringing up the rear! Our lot have been pricking their ears for any news relating to a TS sequel ever since FRD went into administration.

I reckon the member base will see a steady reinforcement from that virtual corner of the web.

It's my duty to write "a Japanese post" at least once in every forum where I want to be active. :side:
