TOPIC: Any official news threads?

Specifically for news on TSR? There's no news letter so I was wondering if the admins could make an official thread for news that could be subscribed to? I'd love to keep up with this and get updates one my phone so I know what's happening with this. I love TS and am incredibly excited about this project.

I could do a thread on the forums if people really wanted it. Otherwise we have what is on the front page and I will update that the most regarding TSR development.

Which is fine, but if you could make an official thread that would be nice. The e-mail account I used to make an account on this site is also attached to my phone, so that way if there was news posted to the thread I'd could know at a moment's notice. I know it's getting closer to release and I want to be on top of every detail with this. TimeSplitters is part of my childhood. Thanks for hearing me out, man

Good point about forum thread email notifications. Maybe there is an efficient way to keep the official news only on the home page outside of the forum, but simply have a sticky thread in the forum where a link is posted to the latest news article posting, but not duplicate the data in the forum. And not simply have a huge running number of threads in the sticky thread.

Hmmm, seems an easier avenue to explore would be to see if there is a newsletter email blast tool for certain article posts. Again, the final idea would be so that only the news article has to be written and published once; and notification goes out. Instead of then having to do another process of duplicating efforts in the forum.

Given the articles are already being written in the Joomla (CMS) system, I would think it would be best to see what options are possible for notification.
