Friends and fans of TimeSplitters Rewind,
Today is Thanksgiving. For us Americans this is a time we can express our thanks for all the good people, memories and other things in our lives. I am one of the very few American developers working on TimeSplitters Rewind. I’m very thankful to be part of this amazing team, working on this dream of a project and being part of this massive community. We are all very thankful to have you all as fans and to be members of this deeply passionate community. Without your effort we would not be working on TimeSplitters Rewind and sparking hope for a TImeSplitters 4. Thank you for all that you do!
We hope you all have a safe, fun and very happy Thanksgiving!
IT’S TIME TO SPLIT!

We have been really quiet lately. Don’t worry though, because we’re still working very hard on TimeSplitters Rewind! We are pushing forward with getting things ready for the closed alpha. When we announce the alpha we will bring on twenty testers who will have to meet a strict criteria. More details about that when the time comes. Until then it’s TIME TO SPLIT!
The game with the highest turn out was Minecraft! Team Fortress 2 flopped big time and I think it’s partially because of a lack of mods and not running community maps as was planned. We did learn quite a few things over the past few days though!
Because of the massive success that was the Community Playdate, we have decided to do it again and we’re making it a bi-weekly event! That means that on November 1 – 3 we will make time to join the community in another gaming event!
You will notice that the above menu has changed a bit. If you hover over the Community button you’ll find “Mumble” and “Minecraft” as separate pages. That’s because we have made the two a permanent part of our community! The Minecraft page will list the server details including who the admins are and whether or not they are developers. Same goes for Mumble.
We will bring up a special community forum soon, but until then we are focusing on utilizing the Greenlight Concept page for that sort of stuff.
We are planning a Community Playdate for the 12th of October. What does this mean for our fans? It means we want to hang out with you all and play some video games! We want this to become a monthly event so we can be more involved with the community.
Pitch your ideas below for the game we will all play together!
Note: The game must be free or popular (Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike 1.6/Source/GO). It must allow us to host a dedicated server of it. It must allow for more than 4 players but less than 100. We will provide the game server and Mumble/TeamSpeak server.
We’re slowly shaping up the website in preparation for it’s launch. You will see a lot of things change and move around over the next few weeks but don’t worry! It’s all still there!
TimeSplitters Rewind development remains steady and we’re making huge strides across the board! We’ve received a lot of fantastic feedback from fans and we wanted to take the time to say – THANK YOU! You are all so amazing and we simply cannot thank you enough for your support. Without you we would not be here working on TimeSplitters Rewind and bringing hope for a TimeSplitters 4!
I do have an announcement to make and I hope you all like what I have to say. We are currently developing two other games outside of TimeSplitters Rewind that we hope will help us eventually focus on TSR development full time. This will not slow down the development of TimeSplitters Rewind as the development teams are completely separate. None of our developers working on TimeSplitters Rewind who are under contract to their respective companies are working on these two games.
Why are we working on two games instead of one? We realized early on in development of TimeSplitters Rewind that if we wanted to focus all of our efforts on it full time we were going to need to generate revenue. Of course TimeSplitters Rewind will be free – but we didn’t want fans to wait another 8 years for a TimeSplitters game; thus the birth of Retail Architect (working title).
I have to admit that we were inspired by Prison Architect when the idea of Retail Architect started coming together. We have no intentions of naming the game Retail Architect, so it remains a working title until further notice. The general premise behind the game is running a store or chain of stores and having various elements effect the operation of the store(s).
During our search for developers to work on Retail Architect we came across Nites Studios, an indie developer working on a game titled Pine Hollow. After a series of discussions we ultimately decided to band together. The developers at Nites Studios have merged with us here at Pantheonyx and we now share the same roof. This is why you will see that Retail Architect is being developed on Unity just as Pine Hollow is.
Just to reiterate so there is no confusion – those working on TimeSplitters Rewind continue to work on only TimeSplitters Rewind. We have brought on additional developers to start development on Retail Architect and now also Pine Hollow. Development of TimeSplitters Rewind will not be slowing down.
We are currently in the process of completely updating the website. Please bare with us as this process might take some time!
